Dismemberment Plan to Reunite to Give Cal Robbins a Life of Possibilities.

We still recall the devastating news that Callum Robbins--the son of local musician and recording engineer J. Robbins and Janet Morgan--was diagnosed with Type I Spinal Muscular Atrophy. It was a heartwrenching story because the treatment costs are huge to typical family of limited means. Plus, little kids should be fingerpainting and shit, not worried about degenerative diseases.

So, we encourage everyone to take a unique opportunity to come together and collectively make a big difference. The City Paper has already sold out the Black Cat for one benefit featuring The Thievery Corporation, Atelope and Head Roc. Announced today, a second benefit, featuring a reunited Dismemberment Plan (featuring the DCeiver Nicest Guy In DC Award Winner Eric Axelson on bass, of course!) along with Beauty Pill and Owls and Crows.

Tickets are on sale tomorrow at 5pm at the Black Cat, so go down there and help Cal out.
